Diver Down!
Bruce had sinus troubles the first few days, so Ali went
to Las Marietas islands without him. Chico's dive shop has
good equipment and great dive masters and captains. On the
other hand, Bruce and I had a terrible time with Vallarta
Adventure, and Explora Adventours. We booked their tour for
Caletas by Day, and basically got screwed by them. The tours
pick you up at various places and take you to the tour. We
waited for them, called them, were assured that the bus
would be there in a couple of minutes, waited some more,
called again, couldn't get through, waited more again,
called again and were told "Oh, well, the boat's already
left." Then we had to go all the way downtown to get our
refund!! Don't deal with this company if you visit PV!

After one beautiful dive at Marietas Islands.
Saw Giant Green Morays, Zebra Morays, Bat Rays, and Gold
Spotted Eels.

Las Marietas Islands are rugged and carved. They
reminded me of the Channel Islands off Southern California.
The boat could pull right up to the walls, which went to a
depth of 25 to 40 feet.

This Giant Green Moray Eel was very cool. It was
several feet long. I saw some others later that were out of
their holes, too.

Rob with a puffer fish, all puffed
up.

This Zebra Eel was a foot or two long. Really
beautiful.

From left to right: Alisandra, Chloe, Mall, Rob,
Kevin (I think).

This was a cool little boat for diving. There
were only five divers on the tour. Perfect.

Our Dive Master was Richard and the boat Captain
was Cosell. Kevin and Mal are from England, Chloe is from
France, and Rob is from Canada.
This page is still under construction. I'm hoping to get
some underwater shots from the dive. Check back soon.
